Call Management: Postcode Prompter
What is it?
Postcode Prompter is a call routing system that let's your customer decide their preferred destination, by allowing them to enter a postcode. The call is then routed to the most appropriate destination, based on your definition. All calls, mobiles & fixed, are handled in the same way and Postcode Prompter can be combined with other call management options to provide you with a customised and flexible call handling system.
What are the benefits?
-
Customer choice: Your customer gets to chose where they want their call to go.
-
Consistent call handling: All calls are handled the same way, so there is no need to have a different set up for mobile calls and fixed line calls.
-
Flexibility: Postcode Prompter can be combined with other routing products (such as time of day routing, or regional routing) so you have the flexibility to handle calls efficiently.
-
Supports your branding: If you operate a dealer model, Postcode Prompter also provides you an opportunity to support your marketing and branding activities that have generated the call, by welcoming the caller with your branding message rather than the dealer.
-
Based on postcodes not telephone network: As number ranges are becoming less defined by single exchange areas and more calls are moving onto the mobile network, Postcode Prompter becomes are more efficient way to distribute calls, as it uses the street address rather than telephone network to direct the call.
-
Save on double handling: You can save on call costs, by not having to reroute your calls from another location. This is particularly relevant for customers that have their mobile calls sent to one location, and then transfer calls to the right location.
-
Will grow with your business: You have the flexibility to decide where the postcode options terminate. For example, you might be just starting to roll out your business in Queensland, so to start off with you can have all postcodes terminate to a single answerpoint.
-
Simplifies call handling: If you have a large number of outlets, then Postcode Prompter is a simple option to route your calls. Currently you may use a lengthy option system (IVR) to get you customer calls to the right location.
How does it work?

Who is it for?
There are many benefits that Postcode Prompter can provide to businesses, here are just some examples of business that already benefit from Postcode Prompter.
-
A mortgage broker: their customers work in the city during the day, but need to make appointments with the mortgage broker closest their home. With Postcode Prompter, the mortgage broker can use their inbound number to develop brand and report on response to their advertise, as well as improve customer satisfaction by sending their calls to the broker that is going to handle them.
-
A hire company: A tool hire company that targets tradespeople, who are high mobile users and not always based in the same area that they need their source their tools. By using Postcode Prompter this tool hire company allows its customers to choose which outlet they direct their calls to, meaning that a builder can be transferred to the closest outlet to their site. The calls are answered by the outlet that can satisfy the tradesman's request, without having to transfer calls through a central call centre.
-
A channel distribution model: our customer uses a dealer channel to sell their product, and with Postcode Prompter they are able to use on number to monitor all their advertising, have their customers choose their desired location, and include a branding message. Previously the dealer had answered the call, and this was sometimes confusing because it wasn't the same name as the name in the ad. In addition, customised reporting has meant that detailed reports can be provided to the dealers on how many leads have been delivered to them as a result of the advertising.
